Recruit Young Volunteers to Run Competitions

Recruit Young Volunteers to Run Competitions

Have you got any young people at your club who would like to run competitions?  If so they can get trained up to be competition organisers.  Running competition could bring more profile to your club and contribute to the attraction and retention of adult and junior members and ultimately generate greater income for your club.

A 3 hour session will equip your young volunteers with the skills they need to run competitions.  The young volunteers will also receive a competition organiser toolkit and t-shirt.  Find out when the next training course is happening near you by speaking to your local county office. Click here for contact details.

Here is what Jonty Bilous and Lauren Webster, both 17 and from Teesside, had to say about the experience:

“The satisfaction of seeing all this activity going ahead and to think I have got a lot to do with it is the most rewarding thing ever! Although scary at first, talking to parents and other adults has built my confidence and that is going to help me with other areas of life…university / job interviews here I come!”

“You can do this with your mates and have a great time down at the local club. After the competition we go on and socialise in the club and have a great laugh…it’s being a part of something that makes it so rewarding! I’ve even got some of the children looking up to me and recognising me at the local supermarket so feel a bit of a celebrity!”
